? What do you mean, i didn't understand a word.

The Countur and the Mercury Mystique were derived from the first gen, globally marketed Ford Mondeo. I couple of days ago, i was asking if model origin means, where the car was developed (in that case, Germany) or where it was built. As it seems there is no advance ruling, you might be right, that model origin is not Germany, as it was built un USA or Mexico. So admin, decide if o if not. We should open that pandoras box, what model origin means.

The Mondeo/Contour was a collaborative work of Ford USA and Ford Germany, hence why we listed both with different origin. In this case it has two origin country, so for this one we'll have to wait that multiple origin flags can be specified.

Just very slightly derived. Were there other remarkable differences than a few optical features as grille, taillights, badges and so?

Yes, the sheet metal is completely different:
Quote Despite external appearances and the original goal of being a world car, the only external items the Mondeo shared with the Contour were the windscreen, front windows, front mirrors and door handles.
