Translation (for Alex and others): Should we rename all the 355 to F355? I guess that we should, but I never made that change since everybody was using only 355 until now on the site. -- Last edit: 2005-11-28 17:03:33 |

I think we should. Ferrari F355 Berlinetta for the "coupé"; Ferrari F355 Spider for the "cabrio"; Ferrari F355 GTS for the one with the "targa-top". To be confirmed by some specialists. |

And what about the "F1" version? |

F1 = Automatic gearbox system, optional on the 3 types of F355. -- Last edit: 2005-11-28 20:47:56 |

Cars were owned by the bad guy, son of a military general, or something like that. |

I read somewhere that this was a 1995 model. I think that's correct, since I know a guy who has a yellow 1995 Berlinetta, just like this one. |

As per Ben's post, except that if the car is optioned with the F1 gearbox, the "F" designation in "F355" is actually dropped, i.e. Ferrari 355 F1 Berlinetta / GTS / Spider. ![]() -- Last edit: 2009-03-16 13:23:10 |

By the way this movie pissed me off with all its blatant Ford sponsorship and product placement (Jaguar, Aston Martin, Range Rover, Thunderbird, etc etc), then to top it off, two of the most gorgeous cars of the 90s, the F355 and Diablo get trashed and end up stuck in the sand in some ridiculous position. I love JB flicks and Aston Martin too but in your face product placement like that just ruins a film, IMO. -- Last edit: 2009-03-16 13:26:37 |
