But a little different from the white one. Another year? |

1986. White one could be a similar Mercury of some type. |

Earlier than '86. In '86 they had accordian type things on the side of the bumpers. I think it's an '82 like the other one. -- Last edit: 2006-06-17 06:47:22 |

The line above the door handle is different, so there must be something different between the white and the blue one. From what I find on Google, the white one could be a Mercury Lynx, as the Escort seems to have a line like the blue one... somebody can confirm? -- Last edit: 2006-06-17 11:16:03 |

White one has to be a Mercury Lynx. |

Lynx had clear turn signal lenses with orange bulb. Escort had amber turn signals. Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" -- Last edit: 2006-06-18 09:13:25 |

But then why do these two cars have differences? Can't the white one be a Lynx with Escort lights? |

True. The grille is blacked out like a Mercury style grille would be. |

I take it back. A close up of the white one on the Escort page shows the front grille has been ripped out. And plus, it has the wheels of an Escort, when a Lynx would have a different set of hubcaps. It's definitely an Escort. |

It's a 1983 Mercury Lynx GS (same wheels, same side décoration) (cfr Mercury Lynx 1983 catalog page 10) I did look a all 1982-1986 Escort catalogs = none match -- Last edit: 2006-06-19 01:55:24 |

This blue one might be a Lynx with Escort headlights (I believe both cars shared the same wheels). Does anyone else see an amber turn signal on the taillight? The Lynx had an all red taillight (sans reverse light) while the Escort had an Amber turn signal between the brake light and reverse light. |
