It is the General Dynamics F-111, to be preceise the EF-111 Raven electronic warfare variant.

I would say it is a tug, yes. And it certainly is interesting! It could be based on a small truck chassis, but perhaps it is purpose built.

It is a tug, and it looks like it was built from a converted Jeep Wrangler.

This is a Jeep CJ10A aircraft tug, mid 1980's. Not sure of the military designation. Two wheel drive, one ton rear axle, Nissan SD33 six cylinder diesel and a Chrysler transmission.
