We class all Beetle as Typ 1, thought the cabrio is Typ 15, the 1303 is Typ 13 and some other models are Typ 11.

Why all classed as Typ 1 then.??

To keep them grouped, because they are commonly refered as "typ 1", and because it becomes too difficult to class them :D

Bean Badit is correct. It is a Prototype of the KdF Wagen and thus the only convertible built prior to WWII.
It was not Hitler's car. It was owned by the factory and used during parades.

Se we should list as "KdF Wagen" make? (or just "KdF"?)
Same for the Typ 82 Kübelwagen I guess? (as said somewhere else)

It is actually a Volkswagen, like the Kübelwagen, since it was built by the Volkswagenwerke AG. The Kübelwagen was certainly not a KdF. KdF stands for 'Kraft durch Freude' - 'power through joy', which was Nazi-Germany's national sports and recreation organisation. The Volkswagen was dubbed KdF-Wagen, because it would have been marketed through that organization. This, however, never came together, since the outbreak of WWII halted civian deliveries, for which some people had already made downpayments, btw. No Volkswagen was ever sold to the civilian public prior to, or through WWII.

Concerning history , I know that there is at least one picture showing Hitler being toured during the war by his chauffeur in the mountains around the Berchtesgaden resort in an open Volkswagen. This does of course not mean that it was the same car as this one, or that it was one of Hitler's personal cars.It is also possible that more than one prototype of this model was produced before outbreak of hostilities.
Concerning the name, from 1937 to 1938 it was the KDF organization that financed the further development of Porshe's prototype through its " Gesellschaft zur Vorbereitung des Volkswagens" in Berlin-Stadt.In 1938 the activities were transferred in Berlin Wolfsburg and the company became the Volkswagenwerk GmbH, untill changed to an AG in 1960. So we can name this one a Volkswagen.

I added 'Beetle' as generic name to all the Typ 1 that had no model name, but we will have to adapt few ones.

This one in a Prototype of a VW convertible, the "KdF Wagen" as name was a a Nazi-Idea. But no one was ever able to buy a KdF Wagen...
The Typelegend: Typ 1 is a Beetle because it was the first VW, Typ2 = Bus, second VW Type. 11 (as first VIN Numbers) is a bettle (Sedan) 15 is convertible, 18 is Military or "Thing" (in us), etc.
