Best guess, Hartveit coachwork. Not too familiar with Bergen's fleet. |

If truly Hartveit, then most likely Volvo B 655-06, either of the 1955 batch or the 1961 batch. The 1961 buses differ in details such as front end treatment, wiper housings and radiator cap location, but otherwise very similar. Cannot find a picture of a 1955 bus for comparison. On the other hand, Bergens Sporveier ran a large number of Arna buses which looked similar. These ran on Leyland or Volvo chassises. They have a rainchannel running way above the windows, which match better with the bus pictured. I think Volvo B 655, but I have only been able to find an image of a Leyland, but as you can see they have a radiator panel on the right-hand side and you should be able to make out the Leyland badge from here. Here's a picture I found of a matching bus:![]() A full-framed version probably exists, but I cannot find it at the moment. I'm going to make the bold assumption that it's one of the five Leyland LCRT1/1s delivered in December 1961. The one in the other photo is a LERT1/1, hence the different details. |
