How bad can you get? Looks like an old Mazda 323 with an Audi badge shoved on the front. |

"Clearly"? IMHO not clearly. It also can be a Typ 43. And the nose is from the safety-car-prototype, based on the Typ 43 with details for the coming Typ 44. |

Well, animation cars are never identical as real cars that are based on , and this time we can easily recognize it |

Sometimes in movies with real cars we also have mix of models, e.g. /vehicle_34664-Audi-80-Typ-89-1986.html |

The motoring animes have better looking animation cars, like Initial D, Wangan Midnight or Capeta. |

There we should divide between cars, which were pimped up to be looking more exclusive, but should have been cheap, because they were destroyed (the nicest example is that one: /vehicle_74601-Opel-Omega.html) and cars, which are too new for that movie, so they were disguised as older ones (often 50ies-cars and -trucks for WWII-movies) and the the third possibility, like these mixed Audi's: /vehicle_34664-Audi-80-Typ-89-1986.html . Filmed in Romania (I think, by the plates), so they probably took some old, used or crashed cars, which were made roadworthy, just for crashing them in the movie. There they took just parts from several junk-cars to complete one for driving. -- Last edit: 2008-10-28 19:48:49 |

The B3 Audi was modified because it was the replacement of a real B4 used earlier in the movie: /vehicle_34663-Audi-80-Typ-8C-1992.html It was probably cheaper to modify few B3 rather than getting few B4. |
