Why '85? And it looks far too basic to be a LTD Crown Victoria of that age. I'm certain it's a basic LTD from the the early 80s at the lastest. The basic LTDs of the mid 80s were a smaller car and this is too basic for a Crown Vic. |

Isn't that the LTD Crown Victoria badge on the c-pillar? |

Saturn, the body style was produced from 1978 to 1989, but when the smaller LTD you mention was introduced in 1985, this large body became the LTD Crown Victoria regardless of how basic it was appointed. Even the most basic police cruisers with this body are Crown Victorias after 1984. Hence this car has the c-pillar badge Hercubus mentions despite the rather plain appearance. And I chose 85, because this is the first year for the Crown Victoria in this basic trim and because the reference photo I used is in my 85 Ford LTD Crown Victoria sales folder. |

This scene is from the 1988 film 'Red Heat'. The car in the picture was driven by James Belushi, and is about to be hit by a bus. |

Funnily enough...'Steve A' had said that this bus /vehicle_18593-MCI-Challenger.html was also from Red Heat.! (maybe someone from this movie making use of old footage...saving money.?) |

Yes, I'm sure. Check the license plates on the car. They're Illinois plates. |
