Its a 1965 model, and its pretty heavily modified. As you can see the side windows have been blanked out. Inside the original seats were removed and replaced by bench seats. Presumably a station wagon was chosen to allow access to the rear with the crane fitted as its not possible to open the back door. You will also note the twin gerry cans on the fronts of the wings and the lights relocated into a special pot on top. These pods and can racks were a genuine option for expedition use. |

David Salamone's (Dominic) father who owned a garage called 'Blenheim Motors' which supplied many of the cars in the film including the pakistani ambassadors Daimler Limousine, The Thames 400E (previously his and Barry Cox's (Chris) go-karting van when they were children), the Jaaaags and this, which was the garages tow truck, though was modified with jerry cans, the bull bar and the mesh window shields . -- Last edit: 2012-08-07 20:42:06 |

although this land rover BKO686C was last taxed in march 1992 it was sold on 28th august 2020 according to the dvla web site so it looks like its still around somewhere! |
