newer, they didnt make fifth aves till 82 or so, and then it was the new yorker. fifth ave was the name for the later ones. (83 or 84 and up, not positive) |

Right, before 1983 it was only a trim level: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Fifth_Avenue But so is it a 1978 New Yorker, or a 1983 Fifth Avenue ? -- Last edit: 2006-05-02 17:34:09 |

'78 have different taillights. It's at least an '82 New Yorker. Fifth Avenue was a trim level in '82, then in '83 it was New Yorker Fifth Avenue, and in '84, the New Yorker name went to a K-Car while this car just went by Fifth Avenue. |

Its a an '84-'87 Chrysler Fifth Avenue look at the pic the trunk has a Fifth Avenue Badge not a New Yorker badge (my every day car is an '82 New Yorker with the Fifth Ave. trim, I also used to own an '87 Fifth Avenue) -- Last edit: 2007-08-05 06:45:15 |

I just saw the movie: it has the third brake light in the rear window that was a government requirement starting in 1986, and due to the roof line it could also be an '87 (on '88s and '89s the top goes down almost to the door handle) This is a pretty rare car too: it has a factory sunroof! (I just hope it survived the Caravan exploding) so this Fifth Avenue is either an '86 or '87 -- Last edit: 2015-06-02 06:38:55 |
