Austin (?Morris/BMC) LD - body possibly Wadham Stringer? |

my guess would be a 1967 Hants Tilly.. Maybe someone can follow-up with that clue from this web page: http://retiredambulancepersonnel.co.uk/gallery/main.php?g2_page=2 Mike |

The movie dates from 1962... |

Austin LD definitely, as chris40 says. (The 1967 'Hants Tilly' is a smaller Bedford CA Ambulance conversion.) |

I´d rather say Wadham than Lomas, but I´m not that deep into British VanBulances... I believe in 1962, it was still Wadham Brothers and later became Wadham-Stringer. |

More likely Lomas than Wadham as the all of the drivers cab door and side of the ambulance appear flush. /vehicle_47307-Austin-LD.html shows how on a Wadhams body, the top half of the drivers door is pointing inwards and is not flush with side of the vehicle. -- Last edit: 2009-01-20 21:34:10 |

Its a Morris LD converted by Appleyards of Leeds. |

The details seen are not the same as this Appleyards of Leeds ambulance. http://www.fireambulance.f9.co.uk/p47.htm |
