The company was real: Helmut Kuhnwaldt Spedition of Hamburg was an actual forwarder specialized in the transportation of cars and they sometimes built their own vehicles. The company closed in 2002. One major suspect would be Karl Kässbohrer Fahrzeugwerke GmbH of Ulm (whose literal translation "Charles Cheesedrill Coachworks" sounds like an idea by Walt Disney... ), but the layout and many details look like this vehicle was built by Ackermann Fahrzeugbau of Wuppertal, even though the famous winged "A" isn't present. Neither it is on this Mercedes-Benz LP 322 built by Ackermann. Well, and that's my current suggestion: An LP 322 Ackermann. |

The race between Ackermann and Kässbohrer on the market was as close as between Trump and Biden. But it is Ackermann indeed http://www.powalski.com/speditionsportrait/2005/Strasser.php http://www.powalski.com/__we_thumbs__/1654_1_056MercLPuLPSjpg.jpg Later 1965+ Kässbohrer dominated http://www.baumaschinenbilder.de/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=866583 -- Last edit: 2020-11-04 11:38:53 |
