First one with picture, yes. But the label on the rear seems so short, isn't it a GTI? (US version of the Golf GTI) -- Last edit: 2007-11-01 11:49:06 |

No, not a GTI. The Golf V GTI has a different front and several other special details. |

I dont think i've ever seen a roof rack like that on a Rabbit/Golf. |

I think its a 2.0T Litre. |

My mistake, it's a Rabbit V. |

It was a Rabbit 4 months ago and it's a 2.5L |

I see the 2.5 decal but I don't see the tiny rabbit shaped badge that's supposed to be immediately to the left of the 2.5 decal. What's that grey square on the hatch? |

The Golf sold in North-America (under the Rabbit name) is powered by a 2.5 20 Valve Inline 5 cylinder; This engine was designed specifically for the North-American market, it's not available in Europe, though. The Jetta MkV and the New Beetle from 2006 onwards, also share the same 2.5 engine. Although from 2007 onwards, both the Jetta and Rabbit got a 20 Bhp increase going up from 150 Bhp to 170 Bhp and 177 Ibs ft of torque thanks to a bigger air-intake; The new Beetle, however, still continues with the "old" 150 Bhp and 170 Ibs ft of torque. -- Last edit: 2008-09-21 16:37:58 |
