Ford F-550 from more recent times (2017 to the present).

Nope. 2000-2004 (at time) Ford F-Series Super Duty.

Close, 1999-2003 F-Series Super Duty ;)

The black door badge indicates this vehicle is equipped with the 7.3-liter Powerstroke diesel engine, which was available through early 2003. Most NYPD ESU trucks appear to be F-550s, but it could be an F-450.

Nobody here sees that vertical cowl insignia between the fender and the door?

FYI, I realize now this show wasn't that recent, but you have to admit, that chrome might throw people off.

AFAIK, NYPD started ordering these in 2000, not 1999. ESU trucks were usually F-450s (up until the late 2000s, with F-550s reserved for larger truck bodies mostly) but you did occasionally get a F-550 ESU rescue truck.
