On the other hand if the vehicle is used as house rather than as vehicle, I am not sure that we can count that as "used"  |

Looks to be a 1942 Ford B-series, or an F-series with a bus body. |

1947-1949. This bus was left as temporary shelter during the re-clearing of the Stampede Trail between 1961 and 1963. |

The movie prop bus is now on display at the 49th State Brewery in Healy, Alaska: http://49thstateofmind.blogspot.com/2011/05/here-comes-bus.html The original is still there on the Stampede Trail, although in worse condition now; bullet holes have nearly obliterated the number 142. |

The real bus is still in place, it had the engine and seats removed and was towed behind a bulldozer and used as sleeping quarters by the road builders until the axle broke. Then it was left there to be used by anyone who needed somewhere to shelter. Sadly over the years it has been vandalised, all the windows broken, names written and scratched all over the interior and parts such as the steering wheel stolen. Amazing that people will travel so far just to cause damage. |
