Land-Rover Serie-1 or Serie-2 |

seems to have no door-sill, so should be series 1, hm? :-)) m. |

It is a Series I, and from what I can see a 88" (1956-58). It is a shame they dare to crash a 50 year old classic! |

Made for CDN |

that thing was sold here ? |

Is there anything to say it's actually made for CDN and not one imported in the 50 years between build and filming |

Better than the wussy junk they sell now at inflated prices. |

If you need 4x4, you need a Landie, if you don't want a Landie, you don't need 4x4. |

Not sure if I've seen double vertical orange front lights like that before - suggests it has been Canada-ised. I've no info about CDN sales but a likely territory for early Landies as a Commonwealth country when the priority was to get export revenue as UK was recovering from near-bankruptcy after WW2 (which was one of the factors in the creation of the Land-Rover). Looks like a 1960s 88" Station Wagon hardtop - newer than the car so non-original - with the double roof skin which was aimed for hot countries to keep the cabin cooler, so maybe unlikely in CDN. Also it's too long (see rear corner edge and windscreen top), so this may be an 86". |

Well, something has to trudge the extremes of the Northwestern Territories, the Yukon and Nunavut... |
