Ford Expedition Trivia: Bet you didn’t know – the First Generation Ford Expedition had optional side impact airbags. The optional side impact airbags were integrated into the front Captains Chairs and were designated by a oval fabric emblem with the word "Airbag" embossed in the center, the oval emblem was stitched to the outward facing side of the seats. The side airbags only protected the first row of seating.
