possibly the exact same one as /vehicle_1001780-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-J100-1998.html (cf /vehicle.php?id=1041559#Comment2156933) |

Car on the main pic is different than on the other thumbnails (different wheels). Otherwise this is the same car as in The Missing, but without the roof rack. |

The car in the main pic has amber indicator lenses, so maybe that scene was filmed in Canada. |

Possibly but I don't think so, the whole scene was supposed to be in Yemen and scenes from Yemen were filmed in Morocco. |

Main pic is inside a building, so they may have shot that later in Canada, but filmed the outside scenes in Morocco. |

That's why I think it's possible, but kinda difficult. Or maybe the second Land Cruiser from outside was a stunt car or something. |

Why the made for Canada tag? This generation was never sold as a Land Cruiser in Canada, only as a Lexus. |

Negative, they all had split-gate rear (like the one on my '99 GX-R ![]() The one in the main photo and the one in the thumbs appears to be two different examples. The main one is a pre-facelift ('98-'02) with DOT headlights, fog lights, chrome trim on the grille, coloured door handles, no side repeaters and alloy wheels. The thumb is a facelift ('03-'05) with no DOT reflectors, no fog lights, all-black grille, chrome door handles, side indicators, steelies and rear barn doors. In fact, i get a feeling that this isn't even an IFS model but rather a J105 with front solid axles. The front axles in the 2nd thumbnail and the ticked-in-wheels (a J105 hallmark) in the 4th one suggest so. -- Last edit: 2024-12-03 23:07:28 |

Agreed. Should we make an separate page for the other 2003-05 models in the thumbs? -- Last edit: 2024-12-03 23:18:42 |

By the way, here's the rear end on that US-Spec J100:![]() They just fitted a random spare-mount on and taped the rear window. ![]() -- Last edit: 2024-12-05 04:58:20 |
