1976 made-for-TV crime drama re-enacting the Great Brink's Robbery of 1950, where 11 men stole $2.775 million ($36.3 million today), consisting of $1,218,211.29 in cash and $1,557,183.83 in checks, money orders, etc in what was the largest robbery in the history of the United States at the time, a record that wouldn't go surpassed until 1997, when the Dunbar Armored Robbery saw $18.9 million stolen. From the day it happened in 1950 until late 1955, it was considered the crime of the century and the perfect crime until slighted gang member Joseph “Specs” O’Keefe, began cooperating with authorities after a falling-out with his partners. His co-operation led to the arrest of the rest of the conspirators just days before the statute of limitations expired. Starring Darren McGavin, Leslie Neilsen, Carl Betz, Stephen Collins, Burr DeBenning, and Art Metrano.

Set from Autumn 1949 to 1956
Airdate: March 26th, 1976

The money was stolen from a Brink's building, not a Brink's truck.

Anyhow, I'm going to watch this now but from seeing the Brinks Job w/ Peter Fink which is based on the same story, they started hitting trucks in the initial scheme, then brought in all the players for the safe heist.
