dsl ◊ 2019-06-18 14:35	Looks like a poverty spec Standard - no red L boot badge - which got reversers in June 72; colour also looks 72/73-ish. There was a special Cortina 1100 Mk2 built for Greece (and Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania) with 1098cc engine from Escort in 1969-70. My books don't mention a Mk3 1100, but we have this comment to suggest this could be 1100 Tsoglani wrote I have the only existing 1971 Ford Cortina XL 1100 in amazing shape ... The car is in Greece.
dsl ◊ 2021-05-30 20:20	No idea if this red 4-door is the actual Mk3 1100 XL referred to by Tsoglani - "Original, Manual LHD Red Ford Cortina XL 1100cc 1971 (Antique) for sale. Only one owner who has always looked after it and kept it in an enclosed parking lot. Overall excellent condition for its age with small traces of rust spots here and there on the body which have been covered. The engine is original (BABFLS 60235) and has never been changed, & still running with real kilometres of 96, 714(9). The last Pollutant Card/MOT was issued in 2007 and never renewed as it was taken off the road in 2008. The original number plate was BB1967 .... £15,000 or near offer .... Town AGIOI ANARGIRI, ATHENS, 20-Apr-2021" Has small Ford oval badge in grille centre - not the usual UK style - and 1100 shield on wing side. So Mk3 1100 for Greece did exist, although unlikely there were many of them.
