In the movie Ty Simpkins (youngest boy) talks about a 1992 Jeep Wrangler... |

3 stars, Ty Simpkins and his brother (in the movie) use the car to return to the park. |

You're right, Ty Simpkins says the first one is a 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, in sand beige I believe. The one the brothers get running has the 4.0L I-6 and 5-speed manual transmission. What amazes me is that they were able to to get the vehicle up and running in such a short period of time after it had been sitting for almost a quarter of a century. |

The boy does say "1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara", but not sure if it really is a 1992 (it could be though). Characters have stated wrong model years in movies before. They say whatever their lines are, even if they are incorrect. But again, it could be a 1992, not saying its not. -- Last edit: 2015-06-14 04:10:05 |

What is very unlikely is that the Jeeps would still be there and not either removed from the property because of their age or relabeled with Jurassic World. The park has been successful for many years and there's still fences and vehicles with the doomed park name on them? Even though they are behind the scenes of the current park a company with that many resources would not leave property like that. Why is this part of the property not being used now? If there's existing fences and buildings for vehicles? -- Last edit: 2015-06-15 04:54:33 |

According to the original novel, the army ended up fire bombing the old Jurassic Park -facilities. Maybe that would explain the current shape of the rotunda? Here, we are inside a basement garage, so these vehicles could have been spared from the flames? -- Last edit: 2015-06-16 00:28:38 |

The shelf life of engine oil is 5 years, gasoline 3 years. There is no way the Jeep from the old park would have been able to run when it was left abandoned for 20 years without having it's fluids drained and replaced. |

I guess we all can assume that the tires are at least filled with Bib-Mousse? ![]() |

Actually, the boys use Jeep 29, the one Hammond and Gennaro rode in. |

I was extremely pleased these vehicles were "brought back" even though their mobility is unexplained. These vehicles would have drained their batteries, but let's say there were spares on the shelf, Its hard to believe the tires held air. Also, when they do get it running it appears to have a nasty exhaust leak, which doesn't usually happen from sitting. Finally, yes, the fuel would definitely be bad. One thing I CANNOT argue with though is the versatility of the 4.0L motor Jeep made. Besides the fuel/battery issues, I can easily believe one of these would fire up after sitting idle 20+ years. The motor oil may be sludge but if you've watched any of those cash for clunkers videos you'll see that a 4.0 will run with sand for oil for quite some time. Cheers to the writers for revisiting the old location, props and the vehicles though, I really didn't expect that. |

The boys are shown taking the battery from a newer (but wrecked) Kawasaki utility vehicle they found outside of the visitor's center. Presumably they siphoned gasoline from it as well. |

If you look closely you can see that Ty simpkins (youngest brother) is holding a gas can when nick robinson (older brother) hands him the battery from the wrecked atv so they had gas and a new battery. It could be possible I guess the only thing that would be a problem is the oil but those jeeps are built like tanks so they could've started right up. |

Still, it would probably have rotted into nothing after twenty+ years in a Central American jungle. |
