Supposed to be an Interceptor, but it's more than likely a replica. |

Unconvincing, unless a very badly pimped original. Wheels, side pipes and arches all wrong. I also thought it was a dummy for having no rear exhaust pipe until realising that what I thought were nasty sill extensions was a side pipe. More footage needed to be sure but smells S2 or S3 if anything genuine. |

A Viper V10, eh? That actually doesn't sound wrong for an Interceptor, since they originally used Chrysler V8s in the interceptor. Sounds like a swell combination of engine and car...shame it gets beat up, though. |

The original car was the first ever with ABS |
◊ 2013-02-04 18:29 |
And first with four-wheel drive, too |

The 4wd version was the FF (Ferguson Formula), not Interceptor. |

![]() ![]() from extended trailer http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=36413 about 2:04. So at least one of them is LHD. Plate is NAE 423K but not a period issue and nowt on check sites. Also still suspicious that rear underside in main looks so empty and how it has such smaller rear tyres than other footage suggests. And black privacy glass is illegal for windscreens in UK. -- Last edit: 2013-02-05 23:51:22 |

I wonder if there is any place that allows tinted windscreens(windshields)? |
◊ 2013-02-06 03:44 |
I think UK is more restrictive than some other countries - windscreens must allow 75% of light through and front side windows 70%. It crops up occasionally where footballers get caught out, sometimes with personal imports from other countries, particularly from outside EU. |

Germany has similar restrictions. Tinted windows as above, are forbidden for the front and the front side windows. When you want to get a registration for an import car, for example from the USA, you have to replace the windows. No way with them. The only cars, you can see here, which have those tints, are private cars from US servicemen. |

According to Edmunds, they used four Interceptors, all LHD models found in California, which were pimped and re-engined for the film. Three had working side exhausts; "McCarthy omitted them from the fourth car because he didn't want Michelle Rodriguez to worry about burning her legs on them". Link to "www.edmunds.com" |

I think they ruined them with all that mesh at the front |
