It's actually not a GT. It had front drums, revealed by the missing wheel. GTs had discs starting in '65. Owner claimed it had a four bolt 351 Cleaveland (not available till '69), but when Danny popped the hood, it had a 302, all original. Rick had a Cobra Jet and a C4 put in. Not even a C6. I understand wanting a larger customer base because not everyone can drive standard, but Rick said he was keeping it for himself, so I don't get why he didn't get a four on the floor. |

Bought my 1968 Mustang GT 390 with 10 miles on it still own it. Drum brakes all around no power brakes buster would hit valve cover on hard pull. gas cap dose not have GT on it. no place but VIN indicates it is a GT and Letter from Ford that says it is a 1968 390 GT 4 speed. I requested from FORD because in 1970 with 12000 miles on car developed counter bent in right rear spring. Dealer said car was not factor original had been modified. Have more then one dealer tell that. |

I get tired of this drum vs disc argument. My father special ordered the 1968 GT Fastback I currently own and have restored. I have the Marty report showing it is a GT and the original paperwork from when he ordered it showing it is a GT. It has drums all around. |
