We're missing the results for 1966. I learn that Kurt Ahrens Jr. won in 66, with a Brabham BT18. |

I'm watching this one, the n°24, /vehicle_224755.html which would be a Merlyn in 65 or a Cooper in 66. But Merlyns had inboard suspensions in 65, so this must be a Cooper of 66. Hence, we would have footage of the 66 race. |

(There was one, Paul Deetens on Brabham ; he didn't arrive but took the departure, didn't he?) |

yes but doesn't mean that it was an "up to date" model perhaps older Merlyn -- Last edit: 2013-10-11 20:08:19 |

I'm comparing the n°24s, the one of 65 and the one of 66. In 65, it was a brand new Merlyn Mk9 which sported the n°24, with inboard suspensions. This is not the case here for this n°24. So, it should be the one of 66. The Merlyn Mk9 at its teething year, 1965: ![]() -- Last edit: 2013-10-11 20:14:44 |
