I think we're looking at a Brabham BT6 here... the abbreviated tail that the car appears to have wasn't a feature of the earliest Brabhams but was there within a couple of years. This might well date the AVUS meeting at 1964 or 1965. |

Unless if it were stock footage of an actual race, I can agree on it. |

well I think it's 28 or 29 which happes to the 66 race results both were Cooper T76 http://www.formula2.net/F366_E70.htm while possible 26 was Brabham BT15 wish I had a more sideways shot of it of course it could be all staged -- Last edit: 2014-01-29 18:10:12 |

Thumb has no sign of a camera fitted to the back of any of the cars - in 1960s it would have been big enough to be visible especially for cinema-quality filming (and would have been a disadvantage for a tiddler trying to race competitively), so I think main has to be staged for filming. The only way I can think of for filming genuine race cars would be some laps behind a pace car with camera, but I doubt if they did that in those days. So I don't think race results will provide a definite answer here. |

yes will just have to leave it unknown until someone can get more grabs specially more sideways btw DSL I think the Forumula Vee shot can go to comments , even in Germany it's very obscure that you find next to nothing and there were about 8-10 manufacturers and many self build ones so even if you had closeup it would be really really hard to ID ... |
