Badge on the front fender seems to indicate it’s a Hybrid. It’s also equipped in the same fashion. Ford Motor Company has gotten increasingly aggressive in product placement lately (more so than in previous years) I’m guessing one reason is because of GM’s glaring involvement in the smash hit Transformers series of films. Chrysler LLC. has not yet become so aggressive, but some of their vehicles have taken part in small roles in recent films, if I remember correctly. |

Fake plate. The county name or "Sunshine State" is missing from the bottom of the license plate. In addition, Florida does not issue front license plates. |

Oops, check out the California plate on that Camry. The show is filmed in Cali. Usually shows put a fake plate on any cars in a shot near the main vehicle in the shot. |

Is that the county in Florida where the vehicle is bought or where the purchaser lives? |

I think it's where the county where the vehicle is registered, usually the owners home. In addition, I think that plates currently issued in Miami-Dade County only have "Sunshine State." |

County registered, metal plates must be swapped out every 6-10 years (per county). They also have other weird ones like "Amateur Radio". Different rules for getting different things in the county section of the plate. AMATEUR RADIO plate: http://www.rdaniel.com/fl_plate_rld.jpg |

I believe the vehicle is a 2008 Ford Escape V6, not a Hybrid. The door 'Escape' emblem seems to be wrong as the 2008 Escape door emblem was a solid chrome emblem with 'Escape' stamped into it, as opposed to separate letters as this image seems to show. |

Why the need to repace every 6-10 yrs? They stay on the car forever in Calif. |

Change it to 3.01+. He owns it for well after that. |

Doesn't he supposedly crash it in one episode? |

Maybe later, I haven't reached that yet... ep 3.04: ![]() |

And reading previous comments, I forgot to add pics/comment about the crash that indeed occurs at some point... ep 8.01: ![]() ep 8.02: ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-11-24 18:21:15 |

I started watching Dexter again and it really bothers me that the license plate keeps changing between OBN 091 and F6P 273. And why does it have a front plate in the first place? It's Florida after all. Also sometimes the car has a navigation system and sometimes not. |

Most of the time he's car is blue but sometimes it looks silver. Does anyone know what color it is? |
