1994?! It should be a '95 or '96 Impala, beacuse this generation was launched for the '95 model year |

First one was 1994, with a small part added on the C-pillar to make it look like the 1995 Caprice/Impala. But for this one it is not really visible if it has a part added or if it has the 1995 C-pillar. |

While you are right about the 1994 introduction year, this is a 1995-1996 model due to the side mirrors, which were different from the 1991-1994 Caprice mirrors. |

Actually the Impala had the dog-leg rear window for 1994 (before the Caprice). The only reason that the Caprice even got it for 1995 was becuase everyone thought it looked so good on the '94 Impala! -- Last edit: 2008-09-06 00:33:03 |

What he meant was that the Impala logo/symbol was on a separate piece that was added to the C-pillar next to the window on the 1994 model. For 1995-1996, the emblem was put directly on the C-pillar and not on a separate piece that was put on the car. |

Seems like these are always used by bad guys (maybe because it’s a bad a$$ car ... ) |

An interesting fact about these cars: they actually outsold the Caprice for the 1996 model year! (42,000 vs. 29,000) If I had to choose, I'm not sure if I would take and Impala or a Caprice... they're both great. -- Last edit: 2008-09-06 01:31:14 |

An Impala definitely. Even though they're basically the same car, the Impala has some nicer styling touches and all of the performance goodies of the 9C1. |

I do wish they made an estate version of the Impala. The Caprice - essentially the same car - did, but these didn't. |

It wouldn't be hard to make a "custom" Impala SS wagon. |

i saw a clone wagone in grey green and it looked good. but impala was 2 inches lower and never had belt driven fan, always 2 electric fans and if you see an impala parked, and if you see the gear shifter up in park position, its a 94 (with door mirrors) or 95 (with window corner mirrors) 96 had floor shift auto. |
