Channel 4/HBO production I only stumbled on by accident after an end-of-2025 review recommendation. Usual formula of a stubborn detective who pursues a case relentlessly through whatever is flung at her; features [**takes deep breath**] an ambitious menu of police corruption, colonialism, racism, drug cartels, child prostitution, people trafficking, homophobia and other LGBTQ discrimination, and whatever else they can fling at the plot so it's a rollercoaster ride. But it just about hangs together. ^ It's almost all filmed in Jamaica (4 eps), only the final one and 3 minutes of ep1 in London. Plot is Jamaican-based, most of cast is Jamaican, most of dialogue is Jamaican patois (which is why there are embedded English subtitles in several captures), and so on. ^^ Maybe impdb can also use the planes ..... |

Not sure if that actually shown onscreen or a set photo. However it matches a clip near the end of ep 1.05 - my memory is that this was all too blurry without anything sharp enough to capture. |
