Citsa ◊ 2007-02-17 00:49	This, incidentally, is not a 1973, but a 1976. The new grille was fitted in 1975, and 1976 was the only year that this range came without quarter-vents in the doors. This specific one is a Deluxe, judged by the shape of the plaque on the fender, which makes it a 2-litre, instead of the normal basic 1600. (The 1600 had a straight-edged plaque that read "Hilux", on the Deluxe, "Deluxe" appeared below in in smaller letters on a hang-down section) The Deluxe had softer suspension, which gave it a 750kg payload, instead of the normal 1-ton, apart from cloth seats an a few other luxuries like a heater. The shape of the wing mirrors also identify it as a Deluxe, they were round in shape on the basic model.
