Clearly the last three images show models, but you won't notice in the film.

Is "white freightliner" a make? I thought it was a "freightliner" model from "white" make, since we already have several trucks from this make :??:

Yes, it is a make. Actually that are two makers, "White" and "Freightliner", that went together for a while as "White-Freightliner" (1951-77).

Freightliner now belongs to DaimlerChrysler, White is part of Volvo GMC.

Alex this as 4 stars  ... it was used only in one scene and is visible for about 20 seconds...

Famous scene worthy of 4 stars.

Doesn't it look like the shots with the plane are models?
BTW: The plane used in the flying portion of the scene (not the explosion) survives and is now restored. It's a N3N U.S. Navy trainer from WWII. Many wartime biplane trainers (Stearmans and N3Ns) were sold post-war as crop sprayers.

Bottom line, the truck has screentime of less than a minute. I don't think we ought to rate vehicles based on how iconic they are - and anyway this truck isn't. The truck is pivotal to the scene itself, yes, but all it does it pull up, stop, and get hit by the plane and then explode.

Two stars max.

Also while it may appear this is a tractor truck hauling two trailers, it isn't. Notice the number of axles. It's a three-axle truck pulling a two-axle trailer. Ergo, simple truck.

The flying biplane is an N3N; the miniature biplane is a Stearman, and the full-size burning wreck is a low-wing Fairchild PT-19 with a top wing added to match.

Tandem rear axle makes it a WF-64 (White-Freigtliner 6x4).

I know the trailer was destroyed, but at least that beautiful truck survived.
