Owner of one of the two 1914 Stutz Bearcat replicas built by George Barris for the 1971 TV series "Bearcats!" which starred Rod Taylor.
My car was the first built and as such was the primary car used in the series.
The car is a full size replica with steel body work on a custom built chassis and powered by Ford running gear.
It has an In-line 6 cylinder engine, 4-speed transmission and 4 whhel brakes (something the original car did not...back then most cars only had rear brakes). Weight 2800 lbs, top speed, 70 mph.
It rides on custom built wood wheels (the hardest part of its restoration) and 34 X 4.5 inch high pressure tires.

Aside from that, I own a couple of newer old cars, a Mercedes coupe and convertible.

I'm also a part time automotive journalist for a pair of well-known American collector car magazines and live in the Pacific Northwest within sight of grizzly bear and wolf habitats.
