Both films were shot in and around Vancouver, so the same Pinto might appear in both.

It has cheap plastic 14 inch aftermarket wheelcovers. You buy can this exact style of wheelcover at Wal-Mart for about $15.

The crash was so fake, lots of CGI. Its possible they didnt really blow the car up.Lots of exagerrated crashes in that scene and animated fire.

It's a joke based on the Pinto's reputation for being unsafe. It was notorious for supposedly having an unsafe fuel tank design.

But it wasn't even hit from the rear  ... Then again, Final Destination movies don't exactly have the most realistic physics in the first place...

The exploding one seems to have a same colour vinyl roof and trim strip extending to rear wing, unlike the driving one (3rd thumb of last HD batch).

Could two Pinto's have been used here?

Certainly...one driver, one blow-up car.

Is it just me or does the C-pillar look like it's been cut through?
