The Americans went a little crazy for "Dominique" by Soeur Sourire (Jeanine Deckers) in 1963. This is the Hollywood version of her life, which in reality was a little more tragic and ended in suicide after endless tax disputes with the Belgian authorities.

 I'm sorry, but 'Dominique' is perhaps the most irritating song I know. Interesting history though.
