Maybe filmed really in Mexico. There are many other intersting cars parked or passing along the streets: Opels, a Borgward Isabella Kombi, a Ford taunus 17M (P2), Buicks, late 40s Packards, Pontiacs, Dodges, Plymouths and really many VWs and Dauphines.

More than 50 peoplle from Poaramuont were in Acapulco. The only person who was bot there was Elvis, who had been persona non grata since 1957. All his scenes were done back in LA. A double was used from faraway shots
