GodzillaFan54 ◊ 2025-11-17 17:55	1951 screwball sports comedy about an eccentric millionaire who sees a feral cat chasing after dogs and sets his sights on the cat, played by prolific cat actor Orangey. The cat proves to be a mean bastard who hates everyone but this doesn't stop the wide-eyed owner from falling in love with the cat. When he passes away, his executors find that his entire estate which includes a baseball team he owns, the fictional Brooklyn Loons, all goes to the cat! This makes the cat de facto manager of the team and players giving the cat a little pat before going up to bat proves to be lucky, as the teams bad luck streak comes to an end and they begin to rise through the ranks! Rival teams attempt to foil the team's good luck by abducting the cat, which fails, swapping the cat for a different one, and other shenanigans! Two-star airplane used to drop dry ice over the field of play, causing an isolated downpour that effects only the stadium! A couple notes on the cast: First, William Frawley has a small role. Frawley had previously appeared in The Babe Ruth Story, playing Orioles manager Jack Dunn. Second, one of the team's players is played by Leonard Nimoy (closest to the cat, sitting down) in only his second movie!
