Interesting! Beachcomber IV was built as a 78' Higgins Motor Torpedo Boat, PT-459. She saw action in the English Channel during the war and was converted to a pleasure boat/ferry as seen here sometime after 1948. Nowadays she's one of a handful of WWII-era PT boat survivors held for preservation/restoration at Fleet Obsolete in Kingston, NY.
