Nice add. There will be a full series next year apparently.

Thanks. This may be a pruned version... I've seen references to 98 minutes being the full length, but this PBS version only lasted 80 min not counting credits. :/

Oxford as per the related shows: /movie_92379-Inspector-Morse.html and /movie_874608-Lewis.html

One location that's definitely not in Oxford is the theatre. It's Richmond Theatre, which has been used for quite a few film and television productions.

This programme played here just last week. That small grey unknown BMC car was seen whole in one shot as I remember - can't recall though whether it was an A30 or 35. I am sure many would have winced when the women took to the Jaguar (the dark coloured 240?)in the car sales yard with an axe.

As the 240 is a well known film car, I'd be surprised if it was really damaged. Any shots of the axe moments to work out what really happened?

Hmm, I didn't see it. Maybe that scene was cut from this version.

Mostly glass, so not so bad I guess. Broken windshield, a surprisingly small dent on the front from a blow that also popped up the hood (photo below), broken headlight, and two broken driver's side windows.

As things stand the main series has a separate IMDB entry to this pilot movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2701582/

I guess I'll follow IMDB's numbering then and continue on a new page: /movie.php?id=2701582

Time data added plus an improved Standard Eight picture and the Vauxhall Victor [FB] added.

Pics replaced with sharper HD caps without the PBS logo.

Meanwhile, making a mockery of Sandie's comment above, IMDb has since grouped this pilot with the main series, so it's no longer listed as a standalone TV movie, but as episode 1.00. Just one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of how TV series are presented on IMCDb.

Anyway, a bonus gruesome twosome:

KMD 215B returns a 1964 MG Midget.
KTP 685 returns a 1953 MG.

^ "Gruesome twosome" :wow: !!! Both plates look good for what they're fixed to.

A "gruesome twosome" is actually just a reference to an old so titled Looney Tune cartoon. I like the sound of it, so I use it for any pair of items. :)

I prefer "Delicious duo". The best match I can find after a rummage in the toy cupboard (Spark Midget, Vanguards MGB)
