A Canadian children's adventure movie about two Quebecois orphans (Pierre and Cato, super original French names) who discover a plot to smuggle $1'000'000 worth of diamonds in a hollowed-out hockey puck. They manage to get the puck from a florist (played by the same man who was Dr. Hobbes in Shivers!) and the film's bad guys attempt to get the puck back which ultimately ends up being used in a Montreal Canadiens hockey game where the team's 1974-'75 roster appears as themselves! Go Habs Go! The Canadiens are frequently mentioned by the film's main character.

Oddly enough, the actor credited on imdb as Pierre is the late Canadian comedian, Mike MacDonald, though I'm pretty sure it's a different Michael Macdonald as the comedian would have been 21 when this film came out and Pierre doesn't look older than 12.

This film is very much in the same vein as the British kiddie fare made for The Children's Film Foundation Ltd such as One Hour To Zero, The Boy Who Turned Yellow, and The Sea Children.

Screencaps were taken from a modern-made trailer for this film, so at least one or two cars still have to be added. I have a physical copy of the movie and have seen it so I knew what star ratings to give to certain cars. There used to be an upload of the entire film on YouTube but it was taken down due to a copyright claim by LDS, which a quick google search revealed to be The Church of Latter Day Saints. Not sure what the Mormons want with a crappy Canadian children's film... they must be hardcore closet Canadiens fans! :lol:

i don't see why they wouldn't be fans, Canadiens fans are using a lot of church vocabulary this season... :whistle:
