love the hot torino and love move. |

This was a great movie! I enjoyed it and it had some funny moments. There's one thing that sticks in my mind though: In almost all of the exterior shots, there is a green '95 Taurus LX sedan parked curbside. |

I just saw this movie a few hrs ago and while it was a good movie the ending was a surprise I didn't see that coming a mile away. I was a little disappointed though that there wasn't as much car action as the commercial would lead you to believe. I mean come on, if your going to name a movie after a kick ass car like that at least give the audience a car chase or two. |

If you ask me the Gran Torino should have 3 or maybe 4 stars and not 5... |

Maybe you should shut up, your a Volvo fan what do you know. aside from the safety ratings they don't have much to offer. Id rather get killed in a firey wreck driving a kick ass '72 Torino than walk away from a XC90. even though the Torino isn't driven anywhere near as much as the F-series or even that rice grinding civic its still a very important part of the story line. |

Haha, what are you talking about??? I talked about the role a vehicle have in a movie and you're talking about what kind of cars I like?? Maybe you dind't know but the star rating system is for how big a vehicles role is, not how cool it is. Yes, what do I know? I have seen this movie and exactly as you say your self "the Torino isn't driven anywhere near as much as the F-series or even that rice grinding civic" If this movie wasn't called "Gran Torino" the Gran Torino in this movie would't have been given five stars and it is not as important to the plot as you say. And what the hell do you know? I would take this Gran Torino over any new Volvo. And I don't drive Volvo because of thier saftey rating, the Volvos I drive is rather the opposite of "safe". -- Last edit: 2009-01-20 07:15:30 |

Well not wanting this to get out of hand and remaining as neutral as possible...atom indeed only commented on the role of the car in terms of stars (althought even that might have been more relevant on the Torino's page and not on the movie page). His personal interests in cars had nothing to do with what he said. So in the future, maybe you should be a bit more careful stpaulcarguy as you're response was a bit disproportionate. And I think that the "F" word should be avoided at all costs... As for the star value of the car, I'm sure we can wait until more people watch it and then we can all agree on a more apporopriate rating for the car ![]() -- Last edit: 2009-01-20 07:13:54 |

I agree with stpaulcarguy. The G T was not used enough. Very good movie, a extremely non-politically correct old guy dealing with a politically correct world. |

Seen last saturday 7th march. It surprised me. It surprised me one of the best latest Clint Eastwood's play. It surprised me more that the screenplay wasn't nominated in the last Oscars. About the Torino, really it isn't shown too much but it presence in the mind of most actors (and the audience) is obvious along the movie. By its appearances it's a 3 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Just seen this today too, it was simply great, i've enjoyed it so much and Clint Eastwood was simply wonderful in it, you laugh a lot with how he is and his way of speaking, i agree with Vilero, the Gran Torino is in fact seen moving for a time of two stars, but even if so, it has a big role in the movie which in my opinion would make it deserve 5 stars no doubt. |

I saw it on movie theater yesterday evening too, I agree, it was great and Clint Eastwood was very good in it. About the car, it would be at least 3, not 2. But I do not know if 5-star is justified: even if the car has important role it is not the subject of the movie... |

It was funny to see how almost every car in backgrounds were all Fords, which reminds me that we're missing a worth-adding Ford Windstar. |

I saw this movie again recently and noticed that during one of the barber shop scenes, there was an extremely rare Ford E-550 Super Duty XL parked outside, and the cab was at least clearly seen. If anybody gets a chance to, it would be nice to have it added. |

Sérieux? 5 stars for many reasons. As discussed on the page. |

It is a good film. When I saw the part where the Hmong gang gun him down in cold blood, I had visions of the gang standing on trial for his murder and having their sentences being handed down to them. I can see the criminal charges for these gang members; Murder, 3 counts of Attempted Murder, Criminal Possession of Unlicensed Weapons, Rape and Assault. -- Last edit: 2015-08-03 15:05:49 |

The Gran Torino was also shown in the scene where Thao and Sue drive up to the house when the last shooting occurred. |
