These don't seem to get any appreciation . . .

For me that's a good thing... I don't really need to save too much money to get one.

It is presently on my list. The only issue would be the insurance.

It's faceless Asian-looking style.
So faceless, that ShantJ's comment made me think about, if I ever have seen one. I hadn't. If yes, I haven't noticed it.

I kind of get what you are saying (indeed Lotus sold the moulds to Kia in the end)

But it holds a special kind of appeal to me as it is a Lotus that is small and nimble that is not out of my rather limited price range. As a child I had a toy one that I'd play with and also a video game called Lotus Challenge where you would race them.

That said I seem to love all British sports cars and I get all misty eyed about the fact that aside from the KIt car industry we don't make them any more. No MGs, Triumphs, Jensens, Marcoses, TVRs and so on these days.

@Sandie: wouldn't there, if you would own an Elan, the possibility, that noone notices it? ;) It's really not perceivable as an British car.

I didn't say I had good taste in British Sportscars ;)

Say what you like about these and it could well be an MX5s ugly sister but it was light, affordable and a nice handling car and that for me is Lotus.

(http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/paris-motor-show-2010-lotus) What Lotus is not is small city cars, £150K supercars and saloons. It is deeply worrying as based on what I've heard that sales for the £50K Evora aren't meeting expectation so what chance with a car that is three times that or trying to compete with Aston Martin, Porsche and Ferrari.

I cannot say anything about it, because I don't like plastic-cars at all. Even metal-cars with plastic-bumpers are not interesting for me. And I don't have any closer interest in the most sports cars, coupés and convertibles. Even not in classic ones. ;) /vehicle_182789-Fiat-130-1969.html
