A wealthy contractor has a confrontation with a young worker who's sleeping with his daughter that ends with the worker falling off the top of the incomplete building to his death. It's up to an attorney and her young associate to prove that the worker's fatal plummet was an accident and not murder. Starring Susan Heyward, James Stacy, and Lee J. Cobb! This was Stacy's final film role before he lost his left leg and arm when a drunk driver hit him on his motorcycle on September 23rd, 1973. His left leg was severed at the scene and his left arm was amputated later in the hospital. Despite such drastic life-altering injuries, he contuinued acting after his recovery, most notably playing a double-amputee war veteran in the 1977 TV film Just a Little Inconvenience. In 1976, he won a $1.9 million lawsuit against the bar that had served the drunk driver. Airdate: March 3rd, 1972 |
