If this movie doesn't leave you with a big lump in your throat, you ain't human.

Pierce Brosnan is terrific, though he can't hide he's buried under a ton of makeup. Wonderful extended cameos from Jürgen Prochnow and the late, great John Amos, whilst Clémence Poésy is simply enchanting. And that Amazing Grace is, well, amazing.

According to the end credits, filmed on location in Northern Ireland, Ireland and France.
