This is one of the craziest movies I've ever seen. It's very scary and tragic, yet it plays out like a slapstick cartoon. It's also a contender for the bloodiest PG-13 movie EVER! Only Sam Raimi could've directed this... |

I haven't seen this film for a few reasons, the biggest being that all the gore is CG and that just doesn't feel right after knowing how good Raimi can do practical gore effects, as the Evil Dead trilogy has proven. It's the same with Spielberg's War of the Worlds; I know the man can work wonders with practical alien effects so it's just weird to see him resorting to CG. |
