That is a Land Rover Series 90, though I'm not sure they were already named like that at the time of the movie.

this seems to be a military equivalent of the civilian series 2/2A model, with vertical side lamps leaving space for military markings (note the round sign on the right front wing) and the heavy bumper.
According to this web site
http://www.winwaed.com/landy/history/military.shtml
this would be a Series IIA military model, the length is not apparent in the pictures.
According to Jane's Pocket Book of Modern Military Trucks
this would for the 88 inch wheel based model, be known as Land Rover SWB 690 kg light vechicle
and the 109 inch wheel based model the Land Rover LWB 850 kg light vechicle

Land-Rover 109" Series II or IIa (ex-)Army (1958-68). The tyre size tells the wheelbase.

Believe it or not, I watched that episode a couple of days ago! To give it the correct military title it is either a Truck, 3/4 Ton, GS, Cargo, 4x4 Rover 9 or Rover 11. To everyone else it is a military specification Series 2A 109" Land Rover and will be fitted with a 2.25 petrol engine. The Rover 9 was built between 1961 and 1966 and the Rover 11 with inboard headlights between 1967 and 1969. Its not possible to tell which from that photo (shame the windscreen wipers are not visible as that would make it clear), but I would guess its a Rover 9 as the Army usually keep their vehicles for 10 years before being sold off, and as this episode was made in 1977 that means this Land Rover was almost certainly built before 1967.. The registration number belongs to a sequence used by the overseas ministry of supply for overseas military sales and I don't think it really belongs on this Land Rover. I also believe the chalk numbers on the bumper were drawn on the vehicle to identify it when it was sold off, so I'm sure its not a serving vehicle at the time this episode was made.
