TUY 990L sales info:
Quote JIA Ltd are very pleased to be able to offer for sale an exceptionally low mileage and attractive Jensen Interceptor S. NOW SOLD

This car was completed in 2011 and delivered to its UK based owner who has used it only sparingly since. The car has covered just over 2000 miles since it was completed and whilst not used much it has been kept “on the road” and stored in perfect conditions so that it is currently presented virtually as built. As an original Interceptor S this car was subjected to a very similar build process as the current Interceptor R including an extensive and thorough body rebuild, a full bare metal repaint in dark metallic blue, a complete rewire, new brightwork and lights etc.

Mechanically the car is equipped with the current spec LS3 6.2 litre V8 producing 430bhp and driving through a new 4 speed auto gearbox. As with all our cars the engine, gearbox and all of the associated parts, cooling system etc were all brand new when fitted in 2011 and remain in pristine condition. The rear end has been upgraded with our bespoke Independent Rear Suspension, limited slip diff and adjustable dampers whilst at the front the usual JIA geometry revisions, new steering rack and all new bushes/bearings/ adjustable dampers improve the driving experience. New 6 pot AP Racing calipers at the front provide ample braking effort for the dramatically increased performance available and as part of the revisions the car has also been fitted with the JIA spec stainless exhausts and a new fuel tank completing the mechanical refresh to “as new” standard throughout.

The interior has been retrimmed in top quality hide to a traditional pattern in cream with blue piping and royal blue Wilton carpets, departures from standard include a beautiful engine turned aluminium finish to the centre console and lavish dark blue leather headlining whilst the instruments and switchgear have all been replaced or restored as required. Having been thoroughly restored and renewed throughout including fitment of modern engine management and fuel injection the car is 100% reliable and recently completed a full day of filming for TV without a hiccough, watch out for its acting debut in the hands of three certain well known TV motoring journalists.

Effective heating and air conditioning, a modern audio system, remote central locking and electric windows & mirrors complete the specification to make this car a thoroughly useable modernised classic. These cars do not come on the market often, especially at such low mileage, so this represents a rare opportunity to really use and enjoy one of the motoring greats of the 1970s in an attractive colour scheme at a fraction of the cost to reproduce it today.
