The license plate on this vehicle appears to be the very plain CA blue-on-white license plates first issued in 1987, as opposed to the rather colorful yellow-on-blue CA plates that were issued from 1969 through 1986, or the "Golden Sun" optional plates issued from 1982 through 1986.
