469 EXO was a Sept 62 to June 63 London series "allocated in blocks", so despite looking strange plates they might have been genuine. Thumb looks fine as possibly a Mk.II 3.8 with loud exhaust, though tow-hook on police Jag?? Front is weird - they've buggered about with the small lights to create something which is S-Type-ish but looks fake. Is it definitely the same car?? If it is, then could still be Mk.II underneath the buggering-about. |

Wire wheels on a cop car? And black on white number plates? |

Do we just call it a Mk 2 for simplicity? -- Last edit: 2016-07-19 03:42:51 |

Probably - I was waiting to see if other comments emerged. Another problem is that the headlights are too small and seem flat set into the bonnet when they should bulge forward slightly - compare eg /vehicle_854410-Jaguar-MkII.html , /vehicle_294819-Jaguar-MkII-1960.html . However windscreen is correct Mk2 with deeper corners than Mk1 - it's as if they've rebuilt the front freestyle. |

The bonnet shut-line near the grille appears to be too close to the grille itself and the bonnet itself is possibly to flat and lacks form (although the flat lighting could be affecting it). The headlights and smaller lights as said before are just completely wrong. Even the grille shape looks questionable to me, probably too pointed in shape at the bottom. |
