Wright (-> w-shaped radiator), definitely. |

A Wright indeed. The type could be a Pathfinder, an Axcess, a Cadet, a Liberator... I know Top Gear is filmed around Guildford, in Surrey. If this scene is indeed shot in the area, Arriva West Surrey operates Wright Cadets. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arriva_West_Surrey#Fleet But that's just a supposition. It could be shot anywhere in the UK. -- Last edit: 2007-03-13 19:50:13 |

If I believe my book on London bus, the Wright Pathfinder is made on Dennis Dart basis |

Except this isn't a London bus (Arriva London buses are red). It'd be easier to identify if someone saw the destination on the windscreen. |

I see the last digit of the route number is 2. Could the whole number be 42 ? Because Route 42 of Arriva West Surrey is the only one that stops at Dunsfold, the village located near Top Gear's "secret base". http://surreybybus.pindar.com/pages/tt/7.asp http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunsfold -- Last edit: 2007-03-13 21:01:53 |

The make of chassis is rather a Dutch DAF or VDL (the Arriva is also an importer of VDL if I'm not wrong?), model can be a SB100 or SB200. -- Last edit: 2007-03-16 17:54:50 |

Is that soo? We have arriva busses here too. And most of them are Dennis or Wright (Comander?)... |

Well, I searched again, and the windows are narrower on this bus than on other Wrights like the Pathfinder. This suggests a midibus, and there are several possibilities : - Wright Cadet, based on a VDL SB120 chassis. - Volvo Midi Merit, which is a Cadet with VDL chassis, but sold by Volvo ! Link to "www.volvo.com" - Wright Crusader, with a Dennis chassis. But, as Arriva is indeed the VDL importer for the UK, it's probably a Cadet. ![]() |

How do we list that then? Wright Caded? or VDL SB 120? or the Volvo ? |

List by chassis as is usual for UK buses. If you can go back a couple of frames and get the registration........ |

Where I live Travel West Midlands operate Crusaders, Endurances and Liberators, all Volvos, but TWM belongs to National Express. Some of the smaller operators have Wright bodies on DAF and Dennis chassis. |

Its not a Midibus, Denis dart, Volvo B6, Wright Cadet, it has full size wheels. |

C'est sûr: c'est un Wright! Mais en l' absence du châssis, va savoir... (avec le Saviem sc10 on n'est pas emm...) |

W. Cadet (t ,pas d) |

Name this as Wright Cadet bodied VDL SB, Wright Cadet is only the body. Chassis is clearly identified as VDL SB... |
