Mk VIIm 1954-1957 early Mk VIIs (1951-1954) did not have wrap around rear bumpers. Mk VIIIs have same rear but one piece windscreen. |

I suggest that we identify this as a Mk VIIM, the M designation was added in 1955 signified an increase in power output from 160 b.h.p. to 190b.h.p., suspension changes to give a more responsive ride, together with equipment changes to allow better enjoyment of the extra power. In a Classic and Sportscar article, the Mk VIIM was said to be the sportiest amongst the Mk VII to Mk IX range. |

I don't trust this "JCG 606" plate = late 50 Hampshire issue so would only fit a very early MkVII none-M - it's probably just WPK 32 with a switched plate. "JCG 606" resurfaces here - somewhere near the Forth rail bridge - in a police compilation. |
