Made before 1938, when the Michelin Pilote wheels were introduced. Post war wheels also looks completelly different

But it's got stone guards, which would make it postwar. Though the wavy bumper was only on the prewar ones if I recall.

Let me stop you right there as none of it is true.

Lateef wrote as none of it is true.

False, as postwar Tractions did have rear fender stoneguards. Due to the overall size, the wheels and especially the color (black only came in 1948) I thought of a very early postwar (1946/47) 11 CV, but looking at the steering wheel and the round crankhole I would say an early 1950 11 BL. The black steering wheel came in July 1949, the chrome crankhole in 1950. Since I have found many in contemporary films with black steering wheel and unchromed crankhole, I think it could be a midyear change.

As for the point about the stoneguards, many pre-war cars have them too (albeit not original in many cases). The black steering wheel was also present on many pre-war models. This is also a typical pre-war colour. I'm sorry, but I agree with OP about it being pre-war, although I cannot see if it has the flapped or vented bonnet. I would say a 1937 11 BL as it doesn't have the horn grilles of the 35/36 versions.

Looking at the film online, I confirm it has the postwar vented hood and chrome strip, and no steel frame around the seats, therefore making it indeed a 1949 or 1950 11 BL. Since the deleted steel frame is commonly attributed to 1950, let's make it that. It also (although this is hard to see) doesn't seem to have the stanced rib around the rear windscreen that prewars had. Color can be unoriginal or the car is of Belgian production (they had a bigger variety of colors than just black)
